The one-time MVP struggled to fit his game with the Texters after the trade with Sta. Lucia as he averaged just 10.2 ppg in 16 games with TNT. That’s understandable as Williams has not yet fully recovered from a career-threatening blood disorder. For the entire 2009-10 season, the 28-year-old high-leaper matched his scoring average in 2008-09 with 14.1 ppg to go along with 10.6 rebounds per contest, making him one of only two players to average a double-double (the other was Asi Taulava). TNT hopes that health concerns no longer hound Williams this season as the Texters try to go on a binge.
