A member of the three-peat championship squad of San Beda in the NCAA, Gamalinda was selected first by the Bolts in the second round, infusing youth to the veteran frontline of coach Ryan Gregorio. Gamalinda is known to be a scorer during his days with the Red Lions but with Meralco, he is expected to be utilized as a role player, and likewise be a defensive stopper. Banging bodies with the big guys in the PBA will be a challenge.
