One of the biggest revelations not for just Alaska but for the league as well, Borboran made his own little mark in the previous campaign with solid contributions off the bench for Alaska particularly in the Fiesta wars. The former UE star was one of Cone’s reliable second stringers who were always ready to step up. After a quiet performance in his rookie season with Alaska in 2008-09, the former University of the East sniper disproved the so-called sophomore jinx with quality games and gained the trust of Cone to crack the rotation. Borboran, who averaged 2.1 per game in his first year, improved his scoring to 4.5 points a night and suited up in 49 games for the Aces, more than double his 22 appearances in his first year in the league.
