This Cebuano hotshot extended his streak of averaging double figures in scoring to 10 straight years as he tallied11.8 points per game, third on the team scoring ladder. Hontiveros started 53 times in 56 games and shot with 37.55 percent precision from the 3-point area – 4th among locals last season. The 33-year-old sweet-shooting guard will again be an important piece in SMB’s quest for another All-Filipino title. Now in 11th season in the PBA, Hontiveros has shown he’s not a one-dimensional player as he also plays tough defense especially against the top shooting guard of the opposing team.
