He may not completely fill the void left by Mark Cardona in terms of scoring but the former Ateneo gunslinger is still a valuable addition to the squad. Fonacier came from a successful campaign with Alaska in the Fiesta Conference where he played crucial role off the bench. Last season, Fonacier played a total of 54 games and averaged 4.8 points per game, the same output he submitted in 2008-09. The 6-3 shooting guard is expected to come off the bench for this talented squad but Fonacier will always be ready to hit that big shot anytime.
