This former Ateneo standout split his campaign with Coke and Air21 last season and averaged 5.6 points per game, his highest scoring average since the 6.6 ppg he posted during his rookie year with the Bert Lina franchise in 2004-05. Gonzales is now on his 8th year in the PBA and he has been pretty consistent in performing his duty as one of the bench players in the team ready to provide quality minutes. He’ll continue to play that role with the Express, with probable starting minutes once in a while at the small forward position.
