The hands-down winner of the 2009-10 Rookie of the Year plum indeed found the right team and coach that suited his style. The former La Salle forward undeniably was the most consistent among the neophytes in his batch as he helped the Llamados capture the All-Filipino crown. The lanky forward played 62 of the team’s 64 games last season and averaged 6.2 points and 3.9 rebounds. He also collected a total of 41 blocks in his first year for a 0.661 bpg average which ranked No. 10 in that category. If Maierhofer can polish his mid-range game, he’ll be a force to reckon with in the league.
